Summer is here, it’s wonderful, but at the same time it’s also a time of anxiety about rising temperatures. Indeed, rabbits are animals that fear the heat far more than the cold. In fact, if you’d like to find out more about how rabbits cope with heat, take a look at our blog post. Providing a cool place for your companion is therefore essential. That’s why we’ve designed a refreshing hammock for your rabbits. As the traditional hammock is a best-seller in the Rabbits World store, it seemed obvious to create an ingenious system that would allow your rabbits to nap sheltered from the heat. This refreshing hammock comes with a kangaroo pouch sewn underneath, into which you can slide a bar of ice that has been placed in your freezer. Rest assured, as the pocket is deep, your rabbit won’t be in direct contact with the ice to avoid any burns. He’ll be able to enjoy his nap with a soft sensation of freshness. The pocket containing the ice bar can be closed with Velcro fasteners to prevent any risk of nibbling. Ideally, you should have two ice packs to alternate freezing times. For the record, the ice bar is not sold with the hammock. I designed this hammock with an ultra-flat ice bar measuring: 32.2 cm x 24.4 cm x 1.2 cm thick.

The Miami hammock is 100% handcrafted in France to provide maximum comfort and relaxation for your rabbits. Mounted on four wooden legs, it’s easy to install in your rabbit’s living space. It is delivered unassembled. The hammock includes four wooden legs, four rods of two different lengths and water-repellent polyester fabric with ecru and grey stripes. Easily dismantled, you can take your rabbit’s hammock with you on vacation. The Miami hammock supports a maximum weight of 20kg (but big dogs have napped on it lol).

Composition : untreated pine wood and 100% polyester canvas

Care and fabric composition : 100% polyester water-repellent fabric, machine-washable at 30° max.
