Beet, raw

Betterave pour lapin

Beet and beet tops should be given rarely to rabbits.

Both tops and root are edible, but the root can cause digestive discomfort in fragile rabbits.
It is therefore better to give a few nice tops from time to time, to take advantage of their contribution in vitamins C, E, magnesium and potassium.

Note the high level of Calcium in tops.
