It is often found in wetlands, woodland edges, meadows and along roadsides. Bedstraw is native to temperate regions and has a long history of use in traditional medicine. The plant’s aerial parts have been used for medicinal purposes for centuries. Bedstraw is traditionally used for its diuretic, depurative and detoxifying properties. It is often used to support urinary system health, helping to eliminate toxins and relieve urinary tract infections. Its crumpled leaves and stems can be used as a natural deodorant. Physically, bedstraw is an annual herbaceous plant that can grow up to a metre in height. Its stems are slender and creeping, with leaves arranged in whorls along the stem.
