People often think that feeding pellets to their rabbits is necessary, but this is not the case. A rabbit can be fed hay and greens just fine. However, it is true that our rabbits love their pellets in general and often they can be convenient to give on a daily basis and also less expensive. However, you have to be extremely careful about the composition of the pellets you are going to give to your rabbit. Here’s why I suggest the Selective Naturals range which is high in fiber, grain free and made from timothy hay. It is a product that contains no added dyes or sugar and is recommended by veterinarians. The pellet ration should represent 2 to 3% of the rabbit’s weight, hay should represent 70% of your companion’s diet. And above all, you must favor a healthy and varied diet with a complement of greenery.
