Parsnip

Parsnip is a root vegetable of the same family as the carrot. It is an old vegetable, it has many vitamins, C in particular. It is also rich in insoluble fibers, such as cellulose, hemicellulose and lignin. These fibers absorb water, hydrate and facilitate the digestive system. It is a diuretic food that is quite low in calcium but it is also a root vegetable that is high in sugar, so give it to your rabbit in moderation! 2 to 3 pieces per week. Parsnips are mostly bought in autumn and winter.
